Incentives

Arlington is a world class business and development location offering everything you’d expect from a dynamic urban locale, including unparalleled access to Washington, D.C., plus benefits available through Arlington County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

While most jurisdictions narrowly treat benefits in terms of dollar amounts, Arlington takes a more holistic approach when promoting the benefits of doing business here: we speak in terms of incentives. We work closely with our businesses to identify creative ways of adding value to their experience doing business in Arlington. Incentives such as building improvements, customized employee transportation plans, and access to the countless urban amenities which provide a superior work/life balance often exceed the monetary value of more traditional benefit packages.

In addition, benefits for businesses are available through the Commonwealth of Virginia, long-known for its pro-business environment, sound fiscal policy and low corporate tax rates. Arlington, with its forward-thinking government and business expertise has been quick to build a business environment that is ready to capitalize on the opportunities of the new economy, including policies to meet the needs of the high-tech industry.
